ELECTION TO COUNCIL FOR YEAR 2011/2012
IMPORTANT NOTES – NOMINATION & VOTING
Elections for the National Council are conducted annually. The following need to be fully adhered to during the nomination and voting process for the President, Vice President, Treasurer and 9 Council Members.
Nomination:
1.The attached nomination form must be fully completed including a brief biographical details and information concerning the nominee’s past service to CPA PNG and the profession on the prescribed form. (The nomination form is not complete without this information).
2.Nominations MUST be the original fully completed forms and MUST be in a sealed envelope.
3.All nominations MUST be dropped off in the sealed boxes – one at the CPA Haus and another at the Port Moresby Post Office or posted to CPA PNG labelled as follows: 2012 National Council Elections, CPA PNG, PO Box 1937, Port Moresby, National Capital District.
4.CLOSE OF NOMINATIONS: FRIDAY, 30 SEPTEMBER 2011 AT 5:00PM. The boxes will be opened at PNG Electoral Commission office witnessed by scrutineers for nominees (if any) and CPAPNG Secretariat at 5:00PM.
Voting Process:
5.After the nominations are confirmed, voting papers will be forwarded to the eligible voters (Fellows, CPAs, ATs and RGs/RAGs) by the CPAPNG Secretariat commencing Monday, 03 October 2011.
6.Voting papers MUST be in sealed envelops and dropped off in the sealed boxes – one at the CPA Haus and another at the Port Moresby Post Office or posted to CPA PNG labelled as follows: 2012 National Council Elections, CPA PNG, PO Box 1937, Port Moresby, National Capital District using pre-stamped envelopes provided.
7.CLOSING OF VOTING: TUESDAY, 15 NOVEMBER 2011 AT 5:00PM. The sealed boxes will be opened by the PNG Electoral Commission’s nominated representative at their nominated location witnessed by scrutineers of nominees (if any) and CPAPNG Secretariat.
8.Counting will be done by the PNG Electoral Commission’s nominated representative at their nominated location on Wednesday, 16 November 2011.
9.The results will be made known by the PNG Electoral Commission Representative during the Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 17 November 2011 at Gateway Hotel, Port Moresby.
